Nursing Assistant

We begin our comprehensive nursing assistant certification training program by viewing a professionally acted movie called “The Residents”. Broken into short episodes for easy watching, the film takes viewers through a new CNA’s first few weeks of employment as she interreacts with residents, family members and other staff.

Quiz questions are taken sporadically throughout the episodes and culminate in a final exam of 70 questions at the end. The third week of class you will begin with your hands on training in the classroom where you will learn and practice the 23 skills that will be needed to function as a CNA, as well as pass the state Exam. After passing the written and the skills exam you will experience two shifts, that are sixteen hours of direct hands-on care on live patients at a state-of-the-art facility, prior to your graduation.
